Our client provides financial and dedicated fund services for the business operations of a wealthy family, with interests in fashion retail, real estate and private equity.
This is a newly created role as the firm looks to bring some of its outsourced processes back in house. Currently the business is not regulated by the JFSC, however this may change in the future, depending on how the business and processes evolve. In this standalone role, your responsibilities will include;
- Horizon scanning for new legislation etc and ensuring continued compliance
- Maintenance of the compliance framework including controls and policies
- Ensuring compliance risks are identified and assessed
- Maintenance of the CMP and testing
- Enhancing the compliance culture
- Providing guidance on compliance issues
- Acting as Key Person for Schedule 2 entities
Skills and Qualifications
- Excellent knowledge of relevant financial regulation
- Experience of governance frameworks, compliance monitoring and risk assessments
- Highly motivated, analytical, organised and accurate
- This is a small office, so the ability to work in a small team in a professional yet relaxed manner is essential
- Self-starter and pro-active
- Excellent communication skills
